In 2022, the film: "DM: Dark Matter" was completed and we applied for a film tax credit, a way to generate some funding and to register the film. At the same time another film "Old Nick" was being filed. The Head of the Certification Unit from the Bfi -British Film Institute- eavesdropped on the application for "Old Nick" filed as a game. For twenty years the certification unit has been plagued by disorganisation, confusing games for films and failing to understand the process. 

Anna Mansi, the Head of the Certification Unit, panicked when she saw the screenplay to Old Nick. She was entitled to "eavesdrop" and she was entitled to comment "Please inform us next time before we read the content" A Big warning mention was displayed on the front of the screenplay and before the "offending" text. No one can do better than this.

The "offending text" was a dialogue reported verbatim by the author from a conversation he heard in the streets  between 3 kids -age 9-10- from a comprehensive school in Kennington, London. The subject matter was what they would do to a woman and a gay man. The evolution of language in the 21st century knows no bounds and as contemporary filmmakers, we report the moment and that is generally what films -as in motion picture- stand for.
